"Bogus Order - Zen Brakes 2" presents itself as an innovative interactive photo-based video synthesizer, photo processor, and audio visualizer album.

Utilizing the groundbreaking technology developed by Coldcut and Paul Miller known as 'Pixi', this application introduces a novel approach to generating interactive visuals. Pixi operates on a principle referred to as 'granular video synthesis', drawing inspiration from the established concept of granular synthesis in audio.

In the realm of audio, granular synthesis extracts small segments, termed 'grains', from an audio sample to form the foundation of sound design. Similarly, Pixi applies this concept to video synthesis by sampling small regions of an image, typically a photograph. These source grains can be adjusted in size and position and combined with mask images—such as geometric shapes—to create unique Brushes for drawing patterns. Users can also employ multiple Particle Brushes within their creations. The application features a modular synth-style patching system that allows for an extensive range of parameter controls, enabling users to save presets that include basic source images.

Essentially, the primary Pixi application functions as a modular synthesizer, which has been utilized to develop a collection of interactive visual presets for use in the streamlined Pixi Player applications. The "Bogus Order" app serves as one of these Pixi Players, specifically designed to complement the music from the Zen Brakes 2 album, with each track associated with its own dedicated Pixi preset.

Furthermore, the Player enhances user engagement by allowing individuals to capture their own photos and employ them as source images, thus inviting users to remix their personal visuals.
